- Hello World!
-
- I've been programming in C++ for a while now, and have been following this
- newsgroup even longer (which, by and by, is an excellent information
- source), and I have noticed that on occasion many different books on the
- subject have been suggested, recommended, or referenced in response to
- various questions.
-
- Now, the meat of the matter. I was wondering what books all of you
- consider to be invaluable (or worthless or so on)? To that end, I was
- hoping that some of you may take a moment of your valuable time and jot
- down some of them.
-
- I was thinking along the lines of any book that uses C++ to achieve an
- end, not necessarily just that ones on the language proper. Further, I'm
- envisioning a ranking of these books, something to the effect of:
-
- Worthless Semi-worthless Depends Fair Excellent
- Necessary
-
- or some equilivant.
-
- Please include the title and author(s), the ISBN if you happen to know it,
- perhaps a brief summary of contents, and of course your opinion. Also, to
- save on bandwidth (and my sanity) please address the responses directly to
- me (cybernite@aol.com). I will be more than happy to summarize and repost
- to the newsgroup.
-
- Thanks in advance.
